Meet The Team
Owner and DVM
Dr. Christal Morita-Keating attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where she graduated with departmental honors and a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. She received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from The Ohio State University in 2011. Upon graduation, she practiced with a companion animal veterinary hospital in Wheelersburg, Ohio.
From 2013 until 2015, Dr. Keating practiced full-time at Banfield Pet Hospital locations in Greenwood, Avon, and Bloomington, Indiana; Douglasville, Georgia; and provided relief services for Willoughby, Massillon, and Medina, Ohio.
After opening The Vet's doors on May 20th, 2015, Dr. Keating is still very excited to be both Veterinarian and Owner of The Vet, where she champions for the best preventative care for each patient at each visit!
Dr. Keating's interests are dentistry, ear and skin disease, allergy management, soft tissue surgery, as well as behavioral training and behavioral medical management. Small mammal exotics - especially guinea pigs - are also a passion of Dr. Keating's, which she has learned much about through self-sought continuing veterinary education.
Dr. Keating and her husband, Jake, gave all their love to their first Merlequin Great Dane "Mosby", who you still see as The Vet clinic mascot on our logo.
In her down-time, Dr. Keating loves to garden and has collected so many indoor plants!
She also loves to play Pokemon Go, play with interior design, paint, sew, craft, read, ballroom dance, learn Japanese, and pursue a vast array of quirky hobbies!
Practice Manager
Ashley is a graduate of IUPUI, where she majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology and minored in Forensic Science! She has always had a love for animals and many people told her that she was studying in the wrong field!

As Practice Manager, Ashley provides Care Team support in the form of continual Team training and education and streamlining thorough patient care, among so many other tasks!

Ashley also has a snake, hermit crabs, a bearded dragon, turtles, saltwater & freshwater tanks, and chinchillas. Ashley really enjoys learning about and further educating people about proper habitats and care for all kinds of animals.

Megan has always had pets growing up and enjoyed caring for them. Her love for animals is what interested her in this field. Megan earned experience in a pet boarding facility caring for animals since October 2013!

She became a Registered Veterinary Technician on September 18, 2018 and has been with The Vet the entire time! Because of all of her knowledge, skill, and innovative thinking, Megan was promoted to Lead Technician in 2020 and now also helps the Care Team provide exceptional veterinary care to each patient.

Before joining The Vet in December 2020, Kirsten worked in the human healthcare field for developmentally disabled children for five years. This career was fulfilling and allowed her to pursue her passion of helping others.
In Kirsten’s spare time she enjoys roasting her own coffee, watching movies, and spending time with her Husky, "Roman", who re-awakened her love of animals and led her to us!
